Please Turn Your Books to Page 37…
Joelle said in the early morning on January 18, 2008
Hey, guess what?
While our 2008 panel wasn’t selected, Hugh Forrest was a peach and got us a spot for a reading/signing of The IT Girl’s Guide to Blogging with Moxie on Saturday, March 11 on the Day Stage! Yay, Hugh!
A select group of authors will be presenting their books each day. While we normally would have been scheduled on Tuesday, with Susie and Lisa, who are both presenting their blogging books, Kathy and I leave on Monday afternoon, so Hugh was kind enough to work us in on Saturday. We’ll be presenting among books about Second Life and other social mediums. It’s not exaaaaactly our target audience, so we sure hope that they like pink.
So, if you’re going to SXSW and you want to see us talk about blogs and maybe how to mix a martini… stop by the Day Stage or the SouthbyBookstore for a signing on Saturday, March 11. I have to admit, this will be our first public signing and I’ve always pictured them like on TV: hordes of people waving books or no one but tumbleweeds. So, either get their early and start waving or come by and keep us company… depending on how it turns out.
B.Y.O. Tumbleweed.
If you’re going to SXSW, leave a comment so we can keep our eyes out for you!

Wish I were going, but I’m not, so I wish you and Kathy best of luck, and I hope it’s packed with people wanting you to sign the book!
Think of the groupies!
No seriously - think.
I’m going to be a stow-away in your suitcase.
I meant to leave you this comment the other day and this post reminded me! We went to our local library (we live outside of Washington DC) a few days ago. I was checking out the shelves of “New Arrivals,” and right at the top was your book! It was very cool! Congratulations and good luck at the booksigning!

Hey, wanted to pass along our contest at 52shows.com
We’re giving away a free copy of SXSW Live 2007 DVD. Just asking people to comment on their fantasy SXSW line up. deadline to do so is Sunday at midnight.
Just thought you’d be interested. And if I can find a pot of cold, maybe I’ll see you at SXSW.

I hope there is a lack of tumbleweeds.... I am bringing a flask just in case.

I won’t be there for your book signing… bummer… but I just wanted you to know I got your book in the mail from Amazon the other day, and so far… I’m really impressed. It is obvious you guys put a lot of effort and yourselves in this book… it’s easy and fun to read and has a lot of helpful information. I’ve taken the easy route so far and just put up a basic Blogger account, but its nice to know the options I have if I ever want to switch things up. Still reading and enjoying it. I’ll try to write up a review when I’m done. Haven’t written one of those since college!

@Danielle: thank you! I was wondering if it was in libraries!
@Raven: Oh, I don’t know about *that* haha! It’s SXSW, we’re kind of like a pair of flamingos in a flock of… ok, I can’t think of a good bird analogy. I just wanted to say “flamingo”.
@Deltus: Thanks!
