@Danalyn: no. My engine is kaput, so sayeth my mechanic.
@lani: I suppose, but probably not “new” new. I may go for a while without one until I save up a bigger down payment. I wasn’t prepared to get a car right now.
My old car is about to go the way of the Judy too, it’s sad to see them go.
