I don’t really see how large water bottles (more like water jugs, you ask me) is “tacky”, per se. Empty beer bottles strewn about, yes, tacky. But not water jugs.

Good for you. I’m glad you made a point of saying something. At least it gave the person a chance to realize her judgmental behavior was not appreciated, and that she should be more thoughtful in life, especially when it comes to things that really aren’t any of her business.
