Lulu’s First Christmas

Lulu’s First Christmas from Joelle Reeder on Vimeo.

Clearly, I’m doing some housecleaning. In the meantime, enjoy this little video I made of Lulu’s first Christmas. The light was low, so the quality was iffy in some spots, but I think it lends a certain nostalgic charm.

Happy Christmas!

p.s. I’m also running all my feeds through Feedburner now. While I’ve switched platforms and will be redirecting my old link to the new link, in the meantime, it would be great if you could update your feed. Thanks!

Quelle surprise! The feed has been updated, and I’ll look forward to seeing what happens next.

In the meantime: Happy Christmas, Joelle, and the best of New Years to you.

Merry Christmas, Joelle and Lulu! She’s so precious, and she seems so sweet as she noses at the camera. I hope you both had a good one. :)

Also, I had to check twice to make sure I was in the right blog. ;) Your design is so intrinsic to you that I was bemused by the default for a while. Are you redesigning?

Cheers, and I will have Juno video for you soon! (Er… is it, um… really, really dorky that I introduced Lulu to Juno via that video?)

Yup, in the process of a redesign. :) Switched platforms, too. And no, it’s not! Lulu needs friends. hehe.

Merry Christmas, alan. Sorry for my delayed response, I didn’t realize I had my comments set to pending. :P

Was Santa good to Lulu?

Happy Christmas!

Santa was good to Lulu! Santa brought her a big huge bag full of wicker balls, but she’s almost gone through them all. Little pigbun. :)

WOW! I thought I stumbled onto a blogger site for a minute here. What happened?

And Merry Christmas to you and Lulu. Hope it was a warm, wonderful and happy one.

Nothing happened. :) I just decided to change platforms and I’m in the process of redesigning. Happy holidays to you!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Lulu. And, you’re switching to WordPress?

    Joelle said on 12/29/08 @ 12:42pm

Yup, sure am! I love EE still, but I’m tired of waiting for 2.0 to come out. WP is a lot easier for lots of things, as plugins are already available and I don’t have to reinvent the wheel when I want to add something. I am hoping that EE 2.0 will totally blow everyone away and will incorporate many of the features that WP offers by default or else I can’t really see a reason to keep using it for blogs.

Ah, going to Wordpress? I’ve decided I like it a lot. Quick question – did you find a way to import your posts from EE? (Weren’t you still using EE?) I never could and my archives are *languishing* out there. Irritating. If you found something, please please let me know?

    Joelle said on 12/30/08 @ 2:10pm

Sure! It was really easy, actually. :) Check out this post about exporting entries in the EE wiki.

Oh, that’s great. Thank you SO much. I looked everywhere when I originally moved over, but couldn’t find anything that addressed EE. Now I’ll have to go back and give it a try.

And I’m totally going to have to find this little “reply” plugin, too. So cool!

Hey, you’re wordpressing it now! That’s great. I can’t wait to see what kind of design you come up with.

    Joelle said on 12/31/08 @ 11:52am

Thanks! The design is done… it’s just development now. Almost there!

Next Stop: Oprah! Moxie Client on Dr. Phil!

We were super excited earlier this month when our client, Patricia of MotherinLawHell.com, told us that she was going to be on Dr. Phil’s show.  Woo!  That’s amazing to start.  But when we found out her website was going to be displayed on Dr. Phil’s “big screen” we were even more excited. National television? Syndicated even? Yes, please.

Last Friday the episode aired and I made sure to record it for posterity. Full disclosure: I don’t watch Dr. Phil often (ok, ever), but I was more than happy to watch it that day! And according to Patricia, the Dr. Phil staff “LOVE the design!” and think “it’s so FUN!”.  Yay! We’re thrilled to hear that since we pride ourselves on bold and happy designs. We do fun. Come and knock on our door, Dr. Phil’s staff. Anytime! smile

Yelp Goodness

Island Style Cafe (4/5) on Yelp

I had breakfast here with Lyn P., who recommended it and really, really enjoyed it. The place is really unassuming and since I rarely venture into Tierrasanta, I'd never have known it was there…
