Santa Says…

  • December 6th, 2004

Since Christmas is coming, I thought I’d share one of my favorite, favorite products in case you’re looking for something for your wife or girlfriend.  (Or, men. I once told my best gay about it and he thinks it’s actually really neutral, so even men can use it. Or whomever.)

imageBath & Body Works True Blue® Line:  I’m in the Mood for Scrub.  It’s in a clear bottle filled with slate blue granules. I swear to you, this is the best scrub I’ve ever used and as most people know, I’m a product whore.  I’ve tried sugar scrubs, salt scrubs, scrubs with a lotion, cheap scrubs, expensive scrubs, scrubs in a jar, in a tube, and a partridge in a pear tree.  I’ve tried them all.  But this one is just awesome.  You can use it on a poofy puff thingie or you can use it with scrubby gloves or even just with your hands. It foams, like a body wash, smells really clean and fresh—like soap, but better—but has these little jojoba and shea butter granule-type bead things that just rock.

The bottle leaves something to be desired. I’m not sure why they don’t put it in a tube that you can squeeze easier, but you can squeeze this.  You also get a lot of bang for your buck. I thought it was rather pricey at $20 a bottle, but a little goes a LONG way. I’ve been using the same bottle every day for about 8 months, believe it or not and I’m only half-way through it.  After, your skin is all soft and silk and just smells clean, not like food or fruit or flowers or whatever.  I pretty much love everything I’ve tried from the True Blue line.

I just took a shower and used it and was therefore compelled to gush about how much I love it.  That is all. Carry on.

Next Stop: Oprah! Moxie Client on Dr. Phil!

We were super excited earlier this month when our client, Patricia of MotherinLawHell.com, told us that she was going to be on Dr. Phil’s show.  Woo!  That’s amazing to start.  But when we found out her website was going to be displayed on Dr. Phil’s “big screen” we were even more excited. National television? Syndicated even? Yes, please.

Last Friday the episode aired and I made sure to record it for posterity. Full disclosure: I don’t watch Dr. Phil often (ok, ever), but I was more than happy to watch it that day! And according to Patricia, the Dr. Phil staff “LOVE the design!” and think “it’s so FUN!”.  Yay! We’re thrilled to hear that since we pride ourselves on bold and happy designs. We do fun. Come and knock on our door, Dr. Phil’s staff. Anytime! smile

Yelp Goodness

Island Style Cafe (4/5) on Yelp

I had breakfast here with Lyn P., who recommended it and really, really enjoyed it. The place is really unassuming and since I rarely venture into Tierrasanta, I'd never have known it was there…
