Holiday Hump Day

  • December 8th, 2004

I’m feeling particularly spirited today.  I got up this morning, rolled around with my lovah for a while, went out in the rain and got a mediocre latte and I’m ready to begin the day. And we’re going to get our treeeeeeeee tonight!!  I’m excited like I’m 6, it’s really funny.

Anyway, firstly, I’d like to thank Beverly at Thoughts of a Butterfly for sending me But I’m a Cheerleader. I love that movie so much.  I must have seen it 20 times. Thank you so much.  And you are very welcome! *wink* Also, I’m sending a megathanks to Krista at Areté for the 2 pounds of Starbucks Christmas Blend I received in the mail yesterday.  Yes, this will power me through the rest of my queue, I’m sure of it.  Thank you and you’re welcome, both.  You both really shouldn’t have, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And, to give something back because that’s how good things happen, here are a few mp3s I ripped this morning for you (from cds I purchased, so you, the person with the bad attitude who wants to give me shit? yeah, you. shoosh!). They’ll be gone later on tonight, so get ‘em while you can.  Hang some lights, light a candle… somethin’.  But I think we need a little Christmas, right this very minute.

Next Stop: Oprah! Moxie Client on Dr. Phil!

We were super excited earlier this month when our client, Patricia of MotherinLawHell.com, told us that she was going to be on Dr. Phil’s show.  Woo!  That’s amazing to start.  But when we found out her website was going to be displayed on Dr. Phil’s “big screen” we were even more excited. National television? Syndicated even? Yes, please.

Last Friday the episode aired and I made sure to record it for posterity. Full disclosure: I don’t watch Dr. Phil often (ok, ever), but I was more than happy to watch it that day! And according to Patricia, the Dr. Phil staff “LOVE the design!” and think “it’s so FUN!”.  Yay! We’re thrilled to hear that since we pride ourselves on bold and happy designs. We do fun. Come and knock on our door, Dr. Phil’s staff. Anytime! smile

Yelp Goodness

Island Style Cafe (4/5) on Yelp

I had breakfast here with Lyn P., who recommended it and really, really enjoyed it. The place is really unassuming and since I rarely venture into Tierrasanta, I'd never have known it was there…
