Christmas Time is Here
- December 24th, 2004
It’s Christmas Eve! It’s Christmas Eve! There’s no snow, lots of palm trees, it’s going to be about 65 today and it’s Christmas EVE! It’s weird. I grew up in this climate, lived here my whole life, save those 5 years in Dallas. Damn you, Dallas! You’ve ruined me for Christmases in coastal climates. I miss snow and ice and rain and cold and “holy crap, I think my fingers just fell off” and my windblown hair freezing to my eyeballs while I’m trying to walk to the car. But, hey, it’s not a bad tradeoff. So, I don’t get “white chrismas”, but I do get to take holiday sunset photos like this.
I’ve received so many wonderful gifts over the year from old friends, new friends, clients and even strangers. I’m so grateful for everything and for everyone who reads my ramblings, for my boyfriend whom I love more than anything, for our business, and for having the opportunity to have met so many awesome people. This year, I’ve gotten to see the worst side of people and the very, very best. Santa hit my house already this year… and it’s not even Christmas morning.
Have a beautiful holiday everyone, whatever you may celebrate. I wish you nothing but love and martinis in the new year. But, only the good martinis. Stay away from that well crap. Just a tip.
