Puff Puff. Give.

I have a touch of exercise and allergy-induced asthma. It’s really not a big deal.  It used to be a huge deal 90-ish pounds ago, but now… not s’much.  I rarely notice it.  Sometimes a strenuous workout or pollen or smoke will set it off, but it’s usually not until I’m completely without an inhaler that I have a full-blown attack.

I’ll have an inhaler about 6 months to a year. I don’t use it every day, just ocassionally. So, I have no need to constantly refill my prescriptions.  Except for the fact that they just keep expiring and it’s really beginning to chap my ass. I don’t have medical insurance, I sure as hell can’t afford medical insurance, but my old doctor from years ago in Dallas won’t refill it anymore since I can’t see her.  She tells me to see a doctor here. Yeah, send me a check and then I’ll go see a doctor here.

I suppose albuterol could be abused.  Someone’s always got a way to abuse something. But, I just wish that there was a way to buy albuterol without a prescription for situations such as these.  It’s always when I’m getting ready to go out of town or be away that my inhaler runs out. Sure, I should be more diligent in checking it, but remember, I rarely use it.

Now, even if my old doctor could be persuaded to call in a refill, it’s after 10pm there now.  Not gonna happen.

Bah.
