Today we took Julie down to see the Pacific Ocean.  First, we had breakfast at IHOP, near the beach, where mikey found a piece of steak in his omelette that looked like Michigan.  Then we hit the water and of course, Spooky had to check it out, too.  After walking up and down the beach for a bit, we got back in the car and headed for Belmont Park, where mikey had an ice cream cone as big as his head and Julie and I enjoyed some frozen lemonade. Then we road the Tilt-A-Whirl, the Bumper Cars and our favorite, the Craaaaaaazy Submarine.

After many hours in the sun, we’re kind of pooped out, so I think we’re going to stay in tonight, watch movies and I’ll cook (grilled chicken, asparagus, sauteed mushrooms and wild rice).  Then tomorrow, it’s off to Santa Monica for some shopping on 3rd Street and dinner with Frendy™.  It’s so great having Julie here!
