Enter the Sandman

I’m still tired.  God bless the coffee bean.

So, after Project-Blog ended, Ali and I went on our little 6am bar excursion.  Really, we didn’t particularly want a glass of wine because I’d had enough at 2.5 glasses, but we wanted to go to the Lamplighter at 6am. We knew it opened at 6am, but we’d never been in there that early, so really, it was just morbid curiosity.  We expected to see a bunch of W.C. Fields-looking gentlemen leaning against the bar, sipping Jamesons, but alas, we were the only people in there.  What a gyp.

Then, after my glorious eggs benedict breakfast as big as my face and a cup of decaf, I came home and crashed. Literally. I walked in, turned on the TV and honestly, I don’t remember anything after that until around 1pm, I think?  My intent was to “unwind” and then go get in bed, but I woke up hanging half way off the couch and had my feet sticking off the end.

After waking up and making a piss-poor attempt at working, I went back to sleep off and on all day yesterday. I did finally wake up around 11pm, did macgeezel‘s design, then went back to sleep.  I’m exhausted, but am so happy that I participated.  It was actually a lot of fun and we all raised money for great causes.

In other news, I lost 6 lbs this week.

Next Stop: Oprah! Moxie Client on Dr. Phil!

We were super excited earlier this month when our client, Patricia of MotherinLawHell.com, told us that she was going to be on Dr. Phil’s show.  Woo!  That’s amazing to start.  But when we found out her website was going to be displayed on Dr. Phil’s “big screen” we were even more excited. National television? Syndicated even? Yes, please.

Last Friday the episode aired and I made sure to record it for posterity. Full disclosure: I don’t watch Dr. Phil often (ok, ever), but I was more than happy to watch it that day! And according to Patricia, the Dr. Phil staff “LOVE the design!” and think “it’s so FUN!”.  Yay! We’re thrilled to hear that since we pride ourselves on bold and happy designs. We do fun. Come and knock on our door, Dr. Phil’s staff. Anytime! smile

Yelp Goodness

Island Style Cafe (4/5) on Yelp

I had breakfast here with Lyn P., who recommended it and really, really enjoyed it. The place is really unassuming and since I rarely venture into Tierrasanta, I'd never have known it was there…
